Mark was currently employed at the Dover Air Force Base, and had been employed there for at least 30 years. He was a graduate of Cape Henlopen High School. Mark served his country in the United States Navy for four years. He enjoyed taking long drives and going to Williamsburg, VA and Longwood Gardens, many times taking photos of nature and birds. Mark also enjoyed NASCAR.
Mark was preceded in death by his parents, Alice R. (Vincent) and S. Royden Piper. He is survived by his brother, Jeffrey Piper of Newark and by his sister, Ruth Ann Piper of Dover; his nieces and nephews: Seann Piper (Cindy), Kevin Adam Burdette and Suzanna Gorlich (Andrew); and several great nieces and nephews.
