Agnes was the daughter of Gilbert and Mary "Marie" (Kuhny) Anderson. She was the first wife of Samuel Atkinson. She was the mother of two daughters. She died at Elizabeth Hospital in Youngstown, Ohio at age 63. she resided in Newtown, for 25 years before moving to Youngstown in the early 1960's. She was a Member of St. Luke's Episcopal Church of Newtown. Her obituary was in The Bucks County Courier Times on August 14, 1974.
