A graduate of Wayne County High School, she was a member of the Poplar Grove Baptist Church in Russell Springs, Kentucky. Kathleen had a gentle spirit and was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and sister.
Survivors include her three children, Lynda Kaye (husband Danny) Johnson, Kerry A. (wife Lou) Smith, and Vandra (husband Daniel) Guffey, all of Lawrenceburg; five grandchildren, Corey (Danielle) Johnson, Anga (James) Brown, Joe (Tamara) Smith, Codee (Hailey) Guffey, and Clay Guffey; eight great grandchildren, Ryder, Turner, Baylor and Major Brown, Kallie Jo and Sophie Smith, Nathan Johnson, and Edie Kathleen Guffey; a sister, Brenda Sue (Bill) Delaney; four brothers, Gene Anderson, Bob Anderson, Glen (Delores) Anderson, and Max Anderson; a brother-in-law, David Cameron Hopper; and a host of nieces and nephews. Along with her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Ann Dunbar.
The family wishes to express their sincere appreciation and love for the following women who loved and cared for their mother. Lynn Jefferies, Charlene Crockett, Darlene Penn, and Linda Hersey, who loved and cared for both Vance and Kathleen for 16 years.
A gathering of family and friends will be held from 12 – 2 PM Tuesday, February 8th at Ritchie & Peach Funeral Home. A service, led by Dr. Mike Hamrick, will follow the visitation beginning at 2:00 PM. Burial will follow in the Lawrenceburg Cemetery. Kathleen's great grandchildren will serve as her pallbearers.
