Charles Steve Bowers, 65,passed away Feb 2, 2022. Steve was born on October 8th 1956, in Kansas City Kansas the son of John and Mary Bowers. He graduated from Truman High School in the class of 1974 then went to the Navy September of 1974. He was married to Sharon for 44 years. Steve was a clerk for the United State Post Office for 30 years and retired in 2019. He was a member of East Side Baptist church. He loved to go bowling, fishing and hunting. Steve was ornery, very outspoken the life of the party and didn't sugarcoat anything. He loved helping his family and friends; he would never miss a ball game and he will be dearly missed.

Steve is survived by: Sharon Bowers, Tony and Lisa Webber, Jenaye (Ryan Cobb) Aldridge, Annah (Joseph) Perkins, and Kenny Keating. He was preceded in death by: John and Mary Bowers, Michelle Keating.
A celebration of life to honor Steve will be held on Friday, February 18, at 1:00 p.m., at Carson-Speaks Chapel, 1501 W. Lexington Ave., in Independence, MO. He will be laid to rest at Mound Grove Cemetery in Independence, MO.
