Catherine was the daughter of Will Young Sr and Rosa Neal Young. She was educated in the Dooly County School System. She was a Homemaker. She enjoyed cooking, watching the news and soap operas and talking on the phone. She was a member of Pleasant Hill Baptist Church in Byromville, Georgia.
She was married to Willie J. Turner on January 6, 1951, they had 6 children. She was preceded in death by 3 sisters, Edith Fulks, Lena Archie, Laura Williams and Shirley Hunsely and 4 brothers, LC Young, Rufus James Young, Murray J. Young and Arthur Young.

5 Sons: James Larry Turner, Benjamin Turner, Willie Turner, Benedict Turner(Audrey) and Barry Turner(Yvette).
2 Sisters: Bertha Gary(Walter) and Ophelia Ball(Alphonso).
