Yates Funeral Home Obituary
-Beverly Helen (Bumpass, Massey) Matthews was born June 13, 1926 in Los Olivos, CA and went home to the arms of Jesus at the age of 82, on May 1, 2009.
-Beverly's first love was her family followed by reading, riding horses, spending time in the woods, and going on adventures from white water rafting to driving farm tractors. Acting her age was never something our mother worried too much about. Her strong faith in the Lord Jesus Christ gave her the drive and determination to overcome the challenges of life including her long battle with Parkinson's disease. Despite her health challenges, our mother was an inspiration and mentor to others using her sense of humor as her guide.
-She was predeceased by her beloved husband Glenn Matthews, and her brother Fred Bumpass.
-She is survived by the father of her children, Edward H. Massey of Olympia Washington, her children and their spouses; Edward JB and Char Massey of Moses Lake Washington, Kathy and Larry O'Bleness of Coeur d'Alene Idaho, Cynthia and Robert Pollock of Brooklyn, New York, Sharon and Mike Johnson of Rathdrum, Idaho, Karen Warner of Post Falls Idaho, Julie Massey of Hayden Idaho. Beverly loved her many grandchildren: Carrie Bujacich of Tacoma, Washington Channa Morland of Moses Lake Washington, Aaron Massey of Moses Lake Washington, Tami Kraack of Medimont Idaho, Brenda Morehead of Coeur d'Alene Idaho, Roy Mende of Amarillo Texas, Bobbie Renner of Saint Maries Idaho, Jessie Jurado of Laurel Montana, Jeremiah Mende of Dallas Texas, Nikki Voss-Huffield of Boise Idaho, Krista Voss of Newman Lake Washington, Josh Nichols of Boise Idaho, Aric Trimp of Kelso Washington, and Steve Skinner of Everett Washington and her twenty-nine great-grand children as of this count.
-In lieu of flowers, please forward donations to the Northwest Parkinson's Foundation, Seattle Washington. A memorial service will be held at the Yates Funeral Home 373 E. Hayden Avenue Hayden Idaho 1:00 P.M. May 16th
