Lloyd Lee Wilson, age 81, of Troup, Texas formerly of Athens passed away on February 1, 2022. He was born on June 7, 1940, to Lloyd Argo Wilson and Ruth Laverne (Henderson) Wilson in Farmers Branch, Texas.
He was preceded in death by his parents and grandparents; son-in-law; sister-in-law; nephew; along with numerous other family members and friends.
Lloyd was a hard worker, owning and operating his own machine shop in Athens for many years. He was a funny, witty guy with a great personality. Always saying exactly what was on his mind. He had a great memory and was always known as one to give you good advice. He loved old western movies, avid reader, worked crossword puzzles and LOVED Facebook! Lloyd was known for all of these things, but most of all, he was a devoted husband, dad, brother, papa, uncle and teacher. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.
Survivors include his loving wife of 39 years; 4 sons and 2 daughters; 1 sister and 1 brother, 2 brother-in-laws and 2 sister-in-laws; 23 grandkids and 25 great grandkids; along with numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
