Daughter of the late Lois Cranmer McLaughlin and Harry McLaughlin. Nancy was many things to many people, but kind and gentle to everyone. She enjoyed music (playing the piano, as recently as Thanksgiving), gardening, working on the grape farm that she shared with her late husband, John W. Long Jr (2006). Nancy regularly attended of South Harborcreek United Methodist Church for many years. The mother of eight children, she was kept busy raising her large family.
Preceded in death by brothers, Albert "Bert" McLaughlin and Theodore "Ted" McLaughlin; sons: Rex "Randy" (2000), Bruce (2020), Wesley (1986) and Richard "Rick" (2016), as well as her son-in-law, Doug Skelly (1998).
She is survived by her four daughters; Susan Campbell (Swansboro, NC), Barbara (Rod) Kindler (Greensburg, PA), Carol (Fred) Odbert (Brookeville, MD) and Sally Skelly (North East, PA). She is further survived by her daughters-in-law, Kitty Long and Patricia Long, her 16 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren; many nieces and nephews and their children; as well as former daughter-in-law, Diane Ray.
