Evelyn was the second child born to Joe C. and Anna Hromas on July 4, 1926 and passed away on Wednesday, Feb. 2, 2022 at the age of 95 surrounded by her family. At the age of 10 her dad unexpectedly passed away and left her and her sister Marcella and mother Anna to continue operating the family farm which is still in the family today. This was no easy feat.
Evelyn married Neal Hampton on May 17, 1946 and from this marriage came Joe Neal, Claudia Ann, and Hal Brent. In her earlier years, she loved traveling with Claudia and going to Lake City, Colorado every summer spending time with family and friends and fishing for trout. In her later years, she enjoyed her dog companions, Lucy, Desi and Sadie, and sitting outside in the evenings with family and friends, watching the birds and squirrels that came to her feeders and bird bath
She was a strong independent woman until her passing. She touched the lives of many.
Evelyn was preceded in death by her husband, Neal, daughter Claudia Ann Kinman, and grandson, Jason Neal Hampton, and beloved sister Marcella .
