William J. McLaughlin (age 79) passed away at his home in Whitesboro NY on Thursday January 27, 2022.
Bill was born in Utica, NY and graduated from Whitesboro Central High School as well as Utica College of Syracuse University.
Bill retired from the US Air Force as a Captain as an Information Officer. He then worked in Public Relations for the Borough of Fairbanks, Alaska. He then worked for the Golden North Motel, Fairbanks, Alaska. Bill then moved back to Whitesboro to care for his ailing mother.
Bill had been active with the Whitesboro Historical Society. He was a choir member at St Mary of Mount Carmel Church. Bill also sang in the choir at Our Lady of Lourdes Church as well as the Utica College Choir.
He is preceded in death by his parents Daniel and Helen (Bea) McLaughlin and his sisters Joanne Shartsis and Judith McLaughlin.
He is survived by his brother John (Jack) McLaughlin.
