Nancy Yerden Moore, age 68, passed peacefully with her husband at her side on February 1st, 2022 after a long illness. Nancy was born March 19th, 1953. She spent her happy childhood growing up in Garden City, New York with her three sisters, Susan, Betty and Carol. When she turned 5, the local school had no kindergarten so she simply started first grade a year early. She graduated from Fairfield University in 1974 as a member of the first class of undergraduates to include female students. Later, she received a master's degree in education from the University of Texas and a master's degree in education with a focus on special education from the University of Houston, allowing her to become a certified diagnostician. In the early 1980s, Nancy moved to Houston where she soon met her husband, Michael Moore....he had a lifelong passion for reading and learning which she also instilled in her children from an early age. She never missed a dance recital, rugby game or class event. Nancy loved to travel, spending time in Hawaii, Italy, Ireland, the Netherlands and many other adventurous locations. She also completed the Houston Marathon. Nancy was known to be thoughtful and curious with a quick wit.

Nancy had two successful careers. One was in education and the other as a Landman in the oil & gas industry. After the birth of her second child, Nancy became an educational diagnostician for the Houston Independent School District helping children excel, especially those with special needs.

She was a dedicated Catholic with a devotion to her church and community.
