Amber Lynn Madison Strickland, resident of the Dobbersville area near Mount Olive, passed away early Monday morning, January 31, 2022.

Amber will be remembered as being the friendly, long-time waitress at Pizza Village in Mount Olive.

The family will receive friends at Tyndall Funeral Home on Saturday, February 5, beginning at 12:30 p.m. with funeral services following at 2:00 p.m. in the funeral home chapel. Officiating will be the Rev. Arthur Warren and the Rev. Glenn McCullen. Burial will follow at Wayne Memorial Park. At other times, Scott and the family will be receiving friends at the residence.

Amber is survived by her husband, Scott Strickland; a daughter, Skylar Cerceo with fiance, Alex Hester of Calypso; two sons, Brennan Cerceo of Mount Olive, and Tyler Strickland of Faison; grandchildren, Emma Strickland, of the home, Blayden Strickland, Kayden Strickland, and Raelynn Strickland, all of Clinton; her step-father, Dr. Paul Montecinos of Erwin; a sister, Lori Montecinos of Medley, La.; her mother-in-law, Geneva Strickland of Mount Olive; and brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Blake and Donna Strickland, and Clark and Loretta Strickland, all of Mount Olive. Also surviving is Anna Farrar of Clinton, fiance of deceased son, Kendell Strickland; and an extended family of nieces, nephews, and cousins.

In addition to being preceded in death by son, Kendell Strickland, there are her mother, Deborah Hudson Montecinos; her father, James Madison; and her father-in-law, James "Buddy" Strickland.
