Edger (sic) Sabin, 90, Dies at Beloit, Services Here

Edgar E. (Ed) Sabin, 90, Monticello resident since 1950, died Thursday, August 1, in the
Beloit Convalescent Center. The son of Horace and Elizabeth Hudson Sabin was born in Rock County Sept. 25, 1883, and was married to Ella Bunge on June 29, 1917. They farmed in the Brodhead-Albany area before retiring to Monticello.
Survivors include his widow, Ella; three daughters, Mrs. Anna Wendlandt, Brodhead, Mrs. Harold Smith, Rt. 1, Monticello, and Mrs. M. L. Graham, Lebanon, Mo; one brother, Jaspar, Palmyra; 12 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren. There is one great-great-grandchild.
He was preceded in death by a son, in infancy, four brothers, one sister, and his parents.
Funeral services were held Saturday, August 3, at 1:30 p.m. in the Zwingli Church
Memorial Lounge at Monticello, with Rev. Charles G. Workman officiating. Burial was in the Greenwood Cemetery at Brodhead.
