To sum Roger up in a single word, it would be devoted. He was hopelessly devoted to his faith, his family, his friends and his country. He never met a stranger and had a smile, hug or handshake for all he met. Taking care of others was his reason for being and he did so tirelessly with nothing but love. He enjoyed sharing jokes and funny stories and had a network of family and friends who enjoyed and benefitted from his sense of humor. He liked to fish and spend time with his brother and sister. He was a long time member of Chapel Hill United Methodist Church and loved greeting and ushering the congregation. He was active in his community and participated throughout his life in organizations such as Jaycees and Lion's Club as well as many other community groups. But most of all, he was devoted to his daughters and grandchildren. He never missed a graduation, ball game, performance or recital of any kind. His bond with each of them was unique and special and he will be forever missed by them.
He was preceded in death by his beloved, DeAnna, his parents, and brother, Lindsey Moore. He will be infinitely missed by his daughters and their husbands, Terry and Mark Tatarian and Patty and Jeff Grotta as well as his seven grandchildren: Jake, Jill, Josh, and J.D. Tatarian and Joe, Vince, and Gigi Grotta. He will also be greatly missed by his brother, Robert Moore and his wife Carma, and his sister, Carolyn Moore, as well as many other nieces and nephews.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held in May 20, 2022, 10:00 AM at Chapel Hill United Methodist Church, 2717 W. Hefner Rd, OKC with interment at 2:00pm in the Okmulgee Cemetery. Donations may be made in memory of Roger A. Moore to OMRF.
