Joyce was a passionate health care worker who labored with love and compassion for those entrusted to her care while infirmed. She was a God-fearing woman who accepted Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior, and an active member of the Ebenezer Missionary Baptist Church.
In 2015, she met and married the Reverend Willie Parker III and the two remained devoted to each other until she departed this life.Joyce is preceded in death by her father, Michael Richard, and brothers, Jimmie Lee Richard, and Michael Richard Jr. Paternal grandparents Clarence & Beatrice Richard and maternal grandparents Frank & Delphine Stelly Rideaux.
Joyce's life, legacy and memories will live on in the hearts of her husband, Rev. Willie Parker III; mother, Thelma Redeau; daughters, Nikki Richard-Brown (Joshua) and Jessica Richard-Booker (Joshua); sisters, Sheryl Richard-Jackson, Linda Richard, and Dorothy Richard-Spikes, nine grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends.
A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, February 5, 2022, at 10:30 A.M. at Ebenezer Missionary Baptist Church under the direction of Calvary Mortuary Staff.
