He proudly served our country in the North Carolina Army National Guard. He was a faithful member of Sycamore Hill Holiness Church where he served with Men's Brotherhood. Bill enjoyed working throughout his lifetime for Cummings Construction, Chavis Plumbing, L & H Tire and Auto, and for Prospect Slaughter Pen. He also enjoyed his time volunteering as a Fireman with Prospect Fire Department and the Red Hill Community Watch. In his leisure time, he loved to fish. Bill was a dedicated, loving father, grandfather, brother, uncle, brother-in-law, and friend who will truly be missed.
He passed away at the age of 71 on January 28, 2022.
Along with her parents and wife, he is preceded in death by his brothers, Vernon Lambert, Michael Lambert; sisters, Marie Lewallen, Virginia Strickland, and Myrtle Brewer.
Bill is survived by his daughter, Felecia Faye Lambert; son, Burt Kendall Lambert (Jody), all of Maxton; brothers, Willie Ray Lambert, Harvey Lee Lambert (Annette), and David Earl Lambert, all of Maxton; sisters, Catherine Tyler, Dorothy Woods (A.C.), Betty Clark (Stoney), all of Maxton, and Fannie Jane Lockhart of Burlington; grandchildren, Wyatt Noah Dial, Halona Michal Dial, Malaki Kaedon Lambert, Honey Bee Lambert, Nehemiah Breeze Lambert, Nikolai Jax Lambert, Zaccheus Storm Lambert, Axel Jett Lambert, Saylor Creed Lambert, Bashton Blaze Lambert, along with a host of nieces, nephews, special friend, Catherine Howell and family, and many friends.
Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, February 5, 2022 at Sycamore Hill Holiness Church, officiated by Rev. Terry Cummings. Burial will follow in Preston Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. Friday, February 4, 2022 at the church.
