Alvin Gene Catron was born on February 4th, 1966 in Tahlequah, OK, the son of Calvin and Gracie Mae (Feathers) Catron. Alvin grew up with one brother, Calvin and three sisters, Betsy, Juile and Amy. He attended and graduated school in Tahlequah. He then decided to work for Pepsi-Cola as a Vendor at NSU, a job he enjoyed. With his funny sense of humor, sharp wit and the ability to make people feel like they had known him forever, he was a welcome guest where ever he went. He was first and foremost a family man and the proud father of four children, Alvin Jr., Heather, Kayla and Candie. He adored his family and loved to spend the holiday with all of them enjoying the day and then summers were devoted to BBQ's and trips to the river or lake. When he wasn't working, he was tinkering on the cars at home, or going to a car show. He loved taking his family four wheeling at Disney, OK, and floating the river, camping under the stars, hiking and searching for the unusual in the caves and waterfalls in the area. Alvin couldn't wait to go cruising down the 4 lane with his tunes jamming on the radio, or taking a family vacation. He was a business man, owning and operating two child care centers in Tahlequah, OK. He loved people and loved to see them smile. He was warm and very out going, with a bit of orneriness to keep it interesting. He was happy to see his nieces and nephews, the picture was then complete and it was time to go find an adventure. Soon, eight grandchildren came along and made him even happier. There was nothing as special as a chance to spoil his favorite kids! A Christian by faith, Alvin acknowledged God in all aspects of his life. His health began to fail him and the Lord called this wise and wonderful man home to his Eternal Rest. Alvin was 55 years old and will be greatly missed. Its never goodbye, its just til next time. He is preceded in death by his grandparents, his mother and father and one niece, Rebecca Tavera and one nephew Randy Catron. Those left to celebrate his life include his children, Alvin Catron Jr of Dickinson, ND, Heather Catron and fiancé Travis Weaver of Tahlequah, Kayla Sweptson and husband Jonathan of Cookson, OK, and Candie Catron and Michael Jones of Tahlequah, OK. He leaves his brother and sisters, Calvin Catron Jr. and wife Kelli of Welling,OK, Betsy Bluebird and husband Larry of Welling, Julia Kizzia and husband Jeffrey of Vian, OK, and Amy Silcox and husband Steve of Welling, OK. Alvin lives on in his grandchildren, Raylynn Jeanette Catron, Gracelynn GeorgiaKay McClure, Alyson Michell McClure, Alarick Lincoln Weaver, Cayden Gene Beaver, Gage Frost Blackwell, Kai Allyn Blackwell, and Blakeylee Kevin Sweptson, as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of friends and loved ones too numerous to mention.
