She was the daughter of Charles and Wilma (Boldt) Smythe. A resident of Janesville most of her life, Rhonda attended Janesville Schools and graduated from Upper Iowa University with a degree in Psychology. She married John L. Shereck on July 20, 1990, at Cargill United Methodist Church. She worked as a Mentor for Rock County for years, but was also a foster parent to many children over the years. Rhonda loved art and was an accomplished watercolor and pencil artist. She was a member of Milton United Methodist Church. She is survived by her husband, John; 5 children: Todd (Tanya) Chrostowski of Deerbrook, Wisconsin, Nicole (Ryan) Jagdfeld of DeForest, Wisconsin, April (Ron) Callies of Edgerton, Wisconsin, Joe Shereck of Janesville, and Tina (Ryan) Rice of Milton, Wisconsin; 10 grandchildren; her parents, Charlie and Wilma Smythe of Janesville; and a brother, Jerry (Vicki) Smythe also of Janesville.
