Robert (Bob) G. Beck passed away on January 21, 2022. Bob was born to Frederick J. and Anne V. Beck on June 13, 1930 in Rahway, NJ. He lived in Roselle, NJ until Junior High School. He eventually settled in Harrison, NY where he graduated high school. Afterwards, he attended Purdue University for one year and was then offered a full scholarship to attend Rensselaer Polytech Institute by Cities Service Oil Company (Citgo), if he would accept employment with them after college. He accepted their offer, graduated with a degree in Engineering and entered into a two-year training period with the company.

Shortly after graduation he married the love of his life, Jane Monroe, whom he had dated since high school. They had a son Robert George Jr. and a daughter Deborah Jane.

During his career, he held twenty-one management positions, built several marketing terminals and gas stations, and assisted in developing truck bottom loading and gas pump remote electronic readouts. During this period, he was transferred twelve different times to six different states. Bob, as Vice President, also spent two years managing and providing field consulting services for an office he helped establish in London, England.

Bob retired in 1992. He purchased a condo on South Padre Island where he helped to rebuild the facility and served as its board president for many years.

In 2014, he settled to Montereau Retirement home after his wife Jane passed away.
Bob was preceded in death by: his parents; wife, Jane; daughter, Deborah; brother, Fred; and sister, Carol.
