Mrs. Betty Joyce Hudson, age 84 of Menlo, Georgia passed away Monday, January 31, 2022 at her residence.

Mrs. Hudson was born in Chattanooga, Tennessee on December 27, 1937, daughter of the late J.D. Wilbanks and Virginia Wooten Wilbanks. She was a member of the Menlo First Baptist Church and was a retired caregiver and former hostess for Keystone Resort. She enjoyed knitting, crocheting and reading and was active with the Reading Buddies at Menlo Elementary School. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Hudson was preceded in death by sons, John David Cordova and Rick Hudson; sisters, Mary Ellen Wallace and Ethel Mae Franklin; and a brother, Raymond Wilbanks.

Mrs. Hudson is survived by her daughters and son-in-law, Teri Hudson and Christine and Carlos Escobar; grandchildren, Donnie Jones, Christopher Jones, Daniel Jones, Nancy Slaughter, Sean Graves, Marc Gregory, Johnny Hudson and Emily Williams; great grandchildren, David Hudson, Raylan Hudson, Nick Hudson, Tamaya Love, Ezra Graves, Micha Love, Elijah Williams and Maddox Baker; great-great grandchildren, Aalijah Hudson, Maliyah Hudson, Alias Hudson and Raylan Hudson, Jr.; and a number of nieces and nephews.

Funeral Services for Mrs. Hudson will be held Thursday, February 3, 2022 at 2:00 P.M. in the First Baptist Church of Menlo with Pastor Matthew Willingham officiating. Interment will follow in the AMI Cemetery.

Pallbearers will include David Hudson, Raylon Hudson, Nick Hudson, Daniel Jones, Tim Willingham and Wayne Pritchett. Honorary Pallbearers will be the Members of the Menlo First Baptist Church.

Mrs. Hudson will lie in state at the Menlo First Baptist Church and the family will receive friends Thursday from 12:00 Noon until the funeral hour.

Flowers will be accepted, however those desiring may make memorial contributions to the St. Jude's Children's Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
