Melissa Therese McBride passed away on January 14, 2022. She was born on June 16, 1991, in Lansing, MI.

She is survived by her loving Mother and Father, Cindy and Jim McBride; her brother, Michael McBride; and his fiancé, Cyrielle Malaty; as well as countless loving family and friends.

She joins her grandparents, Bill and Virginia Bush, and Steve and Bernice McBride, along with her uncles, Terry McBride, and John McBride.

She grew up in Carmel, IN, graduated from Westfield High School, attended Ball State University, and completed her bachelor's in nursing at St Frances University in Fort Wayne, IN. She started her career at Lutheran General ICU in Fort Wayne, IN, and worked in hospice care as well. She began travel nursing three years ago. She spent the last year and a half in California, working in intensive care during the Covid-19 epidemic. She was passionate about adventures, nature, animals, and making the world a better place.

Most who knew Melissa would agree, she never met a stranger. Above all, she adored time with her family and friends. She was a very spiritual soul with a deep love for God.

Visitation will be held Thursday, January 27, from 4 pm to 8 pm at Flanner Buchanan in Carmel, IN.

Funeral Mass will be Friday, January 28, at 11 am at Our Lady of Mount Carmel in Carmel, IN.
