Eddie's Obituary

A Celebration of life service will be held for Mr. Eddie James Daniels, Sr. at 2:00 p.m. at Life In Christ Community Church, 9706 N. 26th Street Tampa, Florida, Rev. Arthur Randall Pastor with Rev. Dr. Bartholomew Banks, Sr. of St. John Progressive M. B. Church, Eulogist.

Interment will follow in Rest Haven Memorial Park Cemetery.

James was the second of nine children born on March 20, 1934 in Cuthbert, Georgia to the late Joe and Rubie Lee (Dixon) Daniels.

He was educated in the public schools of Terrell County, Georgia and later moved to Tampa, Florida in July 1958. He first met his wife, Beatrice Daniels, in 1948. He met her again in 1958 when he moved to Tampa, Florida. They have been together and married for 64 years. He was a former of St. John Cathedral under the leadership of Rev. Eddie Newkirk; and current member of St. John Progressive M.B. Church, under Rev. Dr. Bartholomew Banks, Sr. He was employed with Bill Shields Roofing Company from 1958 until retirement in May 2001; and Hillsborough County School Board at Bing Elementary School from July 2001 to September 2015. He answered his call to come home on Friday, January 21, 2022 at 11:53 a.m. at Brandon Hospital.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Joe Cephas Daniels, William A. Daniels, Sr. and John A. Daniels, Sr.; sister, Hilda Daniels; and nephews, Joseph Daniels, Randy Broner, Johnny (Robby) Broner, Paul Broner and Donald Daniels; sisters in law, Bertha Sowell, Ruth Cark, Lorraine Barnum- Williams, Regusta Wilburn; brothers in law, Lonnie Barnum, Robert Barnum, Johnnie C. Barnum.

James leaves to cherish and celebrate his memory: wife, Beatrice Barnum Daniels; children, Ermie Wilson (Robert), Eddie Daniels, Jr. (Charollette), Raymond Daniels (Tameka); grandchildren, Chris Daniels, Sr. (Felicia), Eddie J.
