Services for Ruth M. Taylor will be held at 2 PM, Saturday, February 5, 2022 at Marble Falls Baptist Church with burial following at White Church Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 1230 PM – 2 PM at the church prior to the service.

On Saturday, January 29, 2022, our mother slipped from this time with her family and friends to enter her eternal home to be with her Lord and Savior.

She was the fifth child born to Marion Parker and Fannie Elisabeth (Jones) Brisco of Marble Falls, Arkansas on November 30, 1938.

She was preceded in death by her first husband, William Robert "Bob" Smothers; her parents, a sister, Beulah Casteal Minor and brothers, Arland Loyd, Garland Boyd "Pete" Brisco and an infant brother, Arvin Franklin Brisco.

Ruth is survived by her husband, Billy Joe Kolb; daughters, Barbara and her husband, Michael Neher of Flippin, AR and Becky Lynn Davidson of FL; one grandson, Ian Downing Stevens of FL; two granddaughters, Heather Renee Moran and Kelly Johann Stevens of VA; one great grandson, Corey Wren Comeaux, US Army Germany; great granddaughter, Ariel Jarvis of VA; her extended family, Jeff and Glenda Justus, Shannon Justus of Branson, MO; Jacob Justus of AK; Becky and Jim Nivens of Ozark; great grands, Juniper and Jericho Justus of AK; Rinette and Sammy Jo Nivens of Ozark, MO and newest three great grands, Naomi, Thomas and Emilynn Joy.

She was a charter member of the Marble Falls Baptist Church, serving through the years as church clerk, secretary-treasurer, pianist, some times organist and also taught Sunday School. She was a member of the Jasper Alumni Association, serving as secretary for 8 years and president for 4 years. Ruth loved planning parties, especially surprise parties. She was an avid bull riding fan, going to as many events as she was able to. Ruth loved her Lord, working in the church, family and cherished her grandchildren and great grands.

Our mother would want all to know as she took her final journey from living with her family and friends on this earth to living with her family and friends in Heaven, that her passing is not a time for sorrow, rather a celebration of her life, now concluding in the eternity of God's presence.

Services will be officiated by O.D. Chaney, Doug Burris and Ohmer Dyal; pianist will be Cathy Burris.

Pallbearers are Marlon Neher, Jacob Dunham, Shannon Justus and Donnie Kolb.

Honorary pallbearers are Jasper Alumni Association, Jasper Class of 1956, Dr. Shawn Bogle, Ahrens Clinic Staff and her extended church family.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials to the Gideons, Jasper Alumni Association or your favorite charity.

Arrangements under the direction of Coffman Funeral Home of Harrison.
