Jerry Lee Young

Jerry Lee Young, 72, passed away in the early morning hours of January 29, 2022 at his home surrounded by his loved ones.

Jerry was born April 30,1949 in Houston, Texas to parents Robert L. Young and Charlsie Hunter (Young) Peck. Jerry made Pearland his home in 1997.

He served honorably in the U.S. Navy Reserve for a brief time and enjoyed working as a trade Electrician for the City of Houston for 33 years, where he retired in 2003. His retirement made it possible to spend his days doing what he loved most — spending time with his children, grandchildren, family, friends, tinkering around with many boats, and partaking in fishing when possible and of course, lots of shenanigans. Jerry enjoyed bringing laughter and joy to everyone he held dear in his life. Jerry was well known and well loved by all he encountered, as he rarely met a stranger.

Jerry was preceded in death by his parents. He leaves behind his sister, Bobbye Jane Haggard; his daughter, Michelle Lee Lambeth; son, Daniel Elliman Young; four grandchildren: Hailee Carlan and husband David, Rachel Lambeth, Brayden Young, and Khaleesi Young; nieces Sarah Haggard and Eliza Haggard; and many other family members and friends.

In lieu of flowers the family requests donations to be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital at www.stjude.org.

There will be a memorial visitation at 6:00pm on Thursday, February 3, 2022 with a memorial service to follow at Crowder Funeral Home, 2422 E. Broadway Street, Pearland, Texas, 77581
