Rush Springs: Thomas "Tommy" Oliver Foster, 73, passed away Thursday, January 27, 2022 in Chickasha.
Tommy was born Tuesday, August 31, 1948 in Little Rush, to Thomas and Betty (Dodgion) Foster Sr. He was a graduate of Rush Springs High School. Tommy lived in Rush Springs all of his life and worked as a farmer. He married Cheryl Jones in 1967 in Friend. Tommy later married Mary Loyd, November 27, 1982, in Rush Springs. He and Mary celebrated more than 39 years of marriage at the time of his passing. Tommy owned and operated the Rusty Spur for about 12 years. He also recently hit his 43rd year of sobriety. Tommy enjoyed working and was a past President of the Rush Springs Jaycee and the Lion's Club. He enjoyed coaching little league baseball, watching his kids play sports, and visiting with his family. Tommy will be missed by many.
Survivors include his wife Mary, of the home, 4 sons, Tommy Foster and Jill Mayes, III of Norman, Chris Foster of Chickasha, Chris Gibson of Chickasha, and Timothy Dean Foster Jr. of the home, daughter, Tiffany Allison of Chickasha, 13 grandchildren, brother, Bobby Foster and wife Shannon of Rush Springs, sister, Jane Harrington of Baton Rouge, LA, numerous nieces and nephews, and a host of friends.
In addition to his first wife, Tommy was preceded in death by his parents, son, Timothy Dean Foster, and brother, Johnny Foster.
