An angel landed here on earth when Susie Clare was born. She couldn't have possibly known the positive impact she would have on so many people. She was the first person to help someone out and never complained about a thing. In sickness and in health, she radiated her love for Christ, her family and friends. She persevered through many ups and downs throughout her life's journey. Susie was a loving daughter and sister to the very end. A single mom for many years working multiple jobs while raising two impossible kids. 28 years ago she found her one true soulmate when she met Ronnie Clare. He completed and complemented her and made her feel like she was the only person on earth. There was never a bad time between them. She always bragged about what a wonderful husband and father he was and never took for granted how fortunate she was to have met him. Ronnie became her world and he lovingly took all of her family as if his own. We all appreciate the happiness Ronnie brought her, it made her that much more of a beautiful soul. She always found happiness in her faith and grandbabies. She loved music, decorating, cooking, big family gatherings and holidays. Her smile and laugh lit up and energized every room with happiness and joy. The last few years have been extremely challenging for her, as her health declined. Yet she pushed on and fought and fought to the very end. The people that got to know her would attest to the light she brought out in them effortlessly. There are no words to express the gratitude and love we all have for this amazing woman. Mother to all. Friend to all. Shoulder and Ear for all. She was the rock we all clinged to.
Jesus called and brought her home to join Him as well as her father Melvin Wayne Carnes, her grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins and other friends and family.
Her memory is survived on earth by her mother Doris Carnes, her brothers Mikel Wayne Carnes and his wife Rita, Ronald Wayne Carnes and his wife Sharon, and Timothy Wayne Carnes. Her legacy will carry on through her daughter Terra Cochran, her son Robert Hicks and her son Weston Clare and his wife Jenn.
Her wisdom and knowledge is also being carried on by her 10 grandchildren: Kaylie, Kindsey, Carson, Collin, Jacob, Bellamy, Madeline, Kendra, Nicole and Donovan, as well as her 3 great grandchildren: Hunter, Aubrey and Wyatt.
Susie is survived by a multitude of family and friends.
To many she was Susan, Susie, mom, momma and friend. But she will always be our Yommie.
