Jimmy Ray Cox, age 75, of Lexington, KY, formerly of Hindman, KY, passed away Friday, January 28, 2022, at his
home in Lexington.
He was born at Garrett, KY on January 24, 1947 to Dallis Cox and Victoria Inman Cox.
Jimmy graduated from Garrett High School in 1964. He then went on to play basketball for East Carolina University
and graduated in 1968. He coached High School Basketball at Wayland High School, June Buchanan High School
and Knott County Central High School. He was a member of Hindman United Methodist Church where he served as
a Lay Ministers. He was also a member of Hindman Lions Club and President and CEO of Casey's Foods.

Daughter- Nicole (Thad) Manning
Sons- Martin (Jennifer Bingham) Cox, Tyler (Sydney) Cox and Tate (Peyton) Cox
Grandchildren- Star Manning, Houston Manning, Clay Cox
Preceded in death by Parents- Dallis and Victoria Cox
Step Mother- Olive Cox
Brother- Bobby Cox
Funeral services for Jimmy Ray Cox will be held at Hindman Funeral Services Chapel, Thursday, February 3, 2022,
at 1:00PM with Mike Powers officiating. Entombment will follow at Bethel Memorial Mausoleum at Hindman, KY.
Visitation will be held at the Chapel, Thursday from 11:00AM to 1:00PM.
