Mary Ann Rutherford, of Beckley, West Virginia went to be with Jesus on November 13, 2021. She died at Raleigh General Hospital with her husband and one daughter present. She was born in Sturgis, Kentucky on February 10, 1938 to her late parents, Earl and Jenny Syers. She moved to West Virginia in the early 60's with her husband, James W. Rutherford. Mary attended Beckley College and held numerous jobs around Beckley during her working career. She was a kind and caring person who loved her family, friends and neighbors and enjoyed family visits and gatherings. Her favorite hobby was painting with oils and was a great artist. She is survived by her husband, James W. Rutherford, two daughters, Teresa Rutherford Bonifacio and husband, Richard, Deborah Plovish and husband, Greg; six granddaughters and five great-grandchildren. She is also survived by a sister, Earlene White of Sturgis, Kentucky. Services for Mary will be held at 1:00 PM Friday November 19, 2021 at Blue Ridge Funeral Home, Beckley, West Virginia. Burial will follow at Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens. Friends may gather with the family Friday from 12 – 1 PM at the funeral home.
