McConnelsville - Kenneth L. Moore, 90, of McConnelsville passed away Friday, January 28, 2022 at the Highland Oaks Health Center in McConnelsville.

He was born April 9, 1931 in Chandlersville to the late Harry Moore and Blanche Blackstone Moore.

He was a U. S. Army veteran and served with the 982nd ENGR Combat Battalion during the Korean War.

He retired from the American Electric Power Com. Muskingum River Plant in Beverly in the Operating Dept. as a shift operating engineer.

Kenneth was a member of the American Legion, the V.F.W., and the National Rifle Assoc.

He is survived by four daughters Barbara (John) Matson of McConnelsville, Vicki (Ken) Cozzens of McConnelsville, Kathy Elliott of New Concord, Julia McInturf of McConnelsville, eight grandchildren Brett McInturf, Angie Finley, Tony Fox, Amy McMannis, Andrew Slivka, Marcus Cozzens, Nathan Cozzens, Annette Garland, and several great grandchildren. Also surviving are two sisters Wanda Founds of Chandlersville, Sharon Krause of Zanesville, and a brother Duane Moore of Zanesville.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister Elsie Cronin and two brothers Capt. H. Russell Moore and Robert Moore.

Calling hours will be Tuesday, February 1, 2022 from 11-1 p.m. at the Malta Bible Church in Malta where funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. with Pastor Matt Workman officiating.

Kenneth will be laid to rest in Rich Hill Cemetery near Chandlersville with military honors.

Memorial contributions may be made to the American Legion Post #24 Honor Guard.

Miller-Huck Funeral Home in McConnelsville is in charge of arrangements.
