MARY LOIS TAYLOR CANNON, 73 of Memphis went to be with her Lord on December 27, 2007. She was a retired LPN from Hill Haven Convalescent Center for the elderly. She also put in many years as a private duty nurse for Mr. and Mrs. C.M. Gooch as well as the beginning of her career at John Gaston Hospital. She was also a wonderful wife, mother, friend and neighbor. Mary had an extended family in her church, Berclair Baptist Church whom she adored as her own; she spoke of you all often. Mary was preceded in death by her husband of 49 years Joseph B. Cannon. She is survived by two brothers, Bruce Taylor of Reedville, Virginia, Clyde Taylor of Oakland, TN; one sister, Dorothy Coker of Bartlett, TN; two sons, John B. Cannon of Byhalia, MS, Stephen W. Cannon of Raleigh; one daughter Mary Cannon Rose of Memphis, TN; six grandchildren, Angela Tackett, Ada Cannon, Frank Rose, Jr., Cory B. Rose, Michael Rutledge and Cassie Mae Cannon; and two great-grandchildren. You were dearly loved and will be greatly missed by all whose life you have touched. Visitation will be from 58 p.m. Sunday, December 30 at Family Funeral Care. Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. Monday, December 31 in Memory Hill Gardens.
