Funeral services for Mrs. Nancy Palmertree, 87, resident of Kilmichael, were held at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, March 7, 1991 at Bethany Church of God with the Rev. Dewitt Lott officiating, assisted by the Rev. Duran Palmertree. Burial was in Bethany Cemetery.

Mrs. Palmertree died Tuesday, March 5, 1991 after a lengthy illness at Kilmichael Hospital. She was the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Duran Walker and the widow of the late William Emmett Palmertree.

A native of Montgomery County, Mrs. Palmertree was a homemaker and the oldest member of Bethany Church of God. She had been a Sunday School teacher at Bethany for 60 years.

She is survived by four daughters, Mrs. Wilma Nicholson of Kosciusko, Mrs. Faith Martin of Jackson, Mrs. Dolly Burle of Greenville and Mrs. Bonnie Steen of Vaiden; five sons, Everett Palmertree of Minter City, Rev. Duran Palmertree of Bridgeton, New Jersey, Basil Palmertree, Eugene Palmertree, and Thomas Wade Palmertree, all of Kilmichael; a sister, Mrs. Dolly Clark of Kilmichael; a brother, Horton Walker of Kilmichael; 21 grandchildren; and 27 great-grandchildren.

Serving as pallbearers were William Palmertree, E.B. Martin Jr., William Burle, Robert Burle, Terry Steen, Gerald Don Steen, Michael Palmertree and Juston Palmertree.

Oliver Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
