Evelyn T. (Andrews) Simpson, passed away Thursday, January 27, 2022, at Piedmont Newton Hospital at the age of 88. She was born in Guyana, South America.
Mrs. Simpson loved dancing, especially ballroom dancing. She was an excellent cook, she also enjoyed gardening. Evelyn was a devoted and loving wife, who was married for over 50 years. She loved raising her family. Evelyn was a wonderful mother, grandmother, and great grandmother.
She was preceded in death by her father, Felix Andrews; mother, Izene Cooper; son, Silven A. Simpson; and her beloved husband, Richard Simpson.
Her survivors include her children, Nesta Thompson of Jamaica, NY, Calvin and Lucy Stephens of Brooklyn, NY, Percy and Pam Stephens of Bayshore, NY, Eion and Jennifer Simpson of Jamaica, NY, Dawn Stephens of Greater Georgetown, Guyana, Lawrence Simpson of Baltimore, MD, Olive Andrews of Covington, GA, Donna McBean of Brooklyn, NY, Nigel Simpson of Covington, GA, Kim Simpson of Brooklyn, NY, Brent Simpson of Jamaica, NY, Zeus Andres of Waterbury, CT, Wola Simpson of Covington, GA, Felix and Yonnett Simpson of Baltimore, MD; 40 grandchildren; and 57 great-grandchildren.
Funeral Services will be held Tuesday, February 1, 2022 at 6:00 pm in the Chapel of Wheeler Funeral and Cremation Services with Rev. LaVaughn Hill officiating and Eulogy will be done by Pastor Brian Bullard. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5:00 pm until 6:00 pm.
