Sally was the daughter of Joseph and Laraine (Skellenger) Gacek. As a child, her family moved to White Cloud, where Sally graduated from high school in 1972. Sally worked a K-Mart for several years, and enjoyed shopping and spending time with family.
Eddie was born December 4, 1941, in Big Prairie Township, the son of Lee and Helen (Eveland) Thebo, and lived in Newaygo County his entire life. He was a self-employed "Junk Man' who loved to scrap. Ed also raised draft horses, and enjoyed giving grandchildren sleigh rides.
Sally and Eddie married in 1980.
They were preceded in death by their son-in-law Nick Raihala. Sally's brother, Ron Gacek preceded her in death. Edward's sister, Carolyn Cook preceded him in death.
The Memorial Service for Sally and Ed will be 11 a.m., Saturday, January 22, 2022, at The Mohnke Funeral Home in Big Rapids. A Celebration of Life will continue on Saturday from 1:00-4:00 p.m. at the Stanwood Aerie Eagles Lodge in Stanwood.
