Jessie "Mitchell" Miller, age 70, of Decatur, passed away on Thursday, January 27, 2022 at Parkridge East in East Ridge, TN.

Mitchell was born on July 11th, 1951 in Athens, TN to the late Jessie and Margaret Miller. He graduated from McMinn Co. High School in 1970 and served in the United States National Guard. Mitchell retired from Astec Industries in 2021 after 35 years of service and was a member of Burdette Baptist Church.

He was preceded in death by his brothers: Willard (Sue) Miller, Joe (Vicki) Miller; sisters: Mable Ann (Jr.) Cogdill, Dora Miller, Doris Miller; brother-in-law's: Lee Wilson, Howard Bledsoe

Left to Cherish his memory is his loving wife of 48 years: Peggy Charles Miller; son: Jason (Star) Miller; daughters: April (Krystal) Miller, Kristy (Troy) Perry; grandchildren: Justin (Demaris) Miller, Chase "Fred" Miller, Zach Bean, Kameryn Garrin, Lane Perry, Libby Perry, Kayla (Josh) Hudgins; great-grandson: Xander Miller, sisters: MaeBell Bledsoe, Francis Wilson; several nieces, nephew, and cousins.

Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, January 29, 2022 at 7 p.m. in the Chapel of Decatur Funeral Home & Cremation Services with the Rev. Earl Graves and the Rev. David Evans officiating.

The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 prior to the service.
