Anita Faye Yarbrough Gibbs, age 53, went to be with her Lord on Wednesday, January 26th, 2022 at her home after shone through until the very end.
Anita was born on July 13, 1968 in Mobile, Alabama to Troy Yarbrough and Rebecca Barnes Yarbrough. She graduated Arab High School and attended the University of Alabama in Huntsville. Anita was a Budget Analyst for Redstone Arsenal for 32 years and a member of Arab First United Methodist Church. Her favorite pastimes included watching Alabama football games, pouring love and attention on her two dogs, and especially spending time with her family. She was a beloved wife, mother, daughter, sister, and friend.
Anita is survived by her husband of 32 years, Kennith Gregory Gibbs, her daughter, Macy Lauren Gibbs, and son, Sumner Reid Gibbs, her mother, Rebecca Barnes Yarbrough, and her brothers, Glenn Yarbrough (Phyllis Kay Cole) and Billy Jack Yarbrough (Jennifer).
She was preceded in death by her father, Troy Yarbrough; and brother, Joey Lamar Yarbrough.
A visitation will be held at Arab First United Methodist Church on Saturday, January 29th, 2022 from 11:00 am - 1:00 pm with a Service to follow at 1:00 pm. Dr. F. Todd Henderson and Rev. Michael Q. Shirley officiating. Interment will follow at the Arab Memorial Cemetery.
Pallbearers that will assist Anita to her final resting place will be Glenn Yarbrough, Billy Yarbrough, Donnie Roden, Brian Quillin, Monty Davis Jr, and Jeff Garrett.
