Hope is the daughter of Henry Daniel Laschenco Lashin and Nellie Michael Slivkoff. She is one of three known children: Vera, Hope, and Jerry. Her parents immigrated from Russia about 1905. In 1920 the family lived in Glen Ellen (Sonoma Cnty), CA and later in 1930 to San Francisco, CA on Potrero Hill 1117 De Haro Street. Her father was a foreman for a lumber yard.
Hope married John Jack Susoeff on 05 Jan 1946 in San Francisco, CA. At the time of their marriage, John was in the Coast Guard and Hope was a stenographer for the PG&E. They were married by William S. Loskutoff, minister, Molokan Church.
Hope and John had three known children: Steven, Gary, and Jane.

She is survived by her husband of 52 years, John J. Susoeff, sons Steve Susoeff of Pollock Pines and Gary Susoeff of Sacramento, daughter Jane Susoeff of Sacramento; brother Jerry Lashin of Auburn, sister Vera Leigh of Burlingame and one grandchild.
Services will be at 3 p.m. today at Chapel of the Pines Funeral Home. The Rev. Tim Thompson will officiate. Interment will be at the Russian Sectarian Cemetery in Colma.
