friend. He left this world unexpectedly on January 23, 2022, absent
from his body and now present with his Lord.
Jerry was born in Roswell, New Mexico, and grew up there and in
Albuquerque, New Mexico. He attended New Mexico Military Institute
in high school. After a summer trip to Alaska that lasted ten years,
Jerry returned to Albuquerque to study Architecture at the University
of New Mexico where he met the love of his life, Beth Boxley. Jerry and
Beth were married in 1992, moved to New Bern, NC in 1999, and opened
the doors of The Walker Group Architecture in February 2000. After a
successful career serving local military bases, state entities, and local
municipalities, Jerry decided to retire in 2021 to begin new
adventures, starting with a trip to Antarctica. From the borealis to the
australis, Jerry was a man known to the ends of the earth, belonging in
the annals of adventurers to have seen both the Arctic Circle and the
Antarctic Circle.
