Funeral services for Mrs. Evelyn Greer, were held Wednesday morning in the chapel of the Thomas-Robinson Funeral Home with burial in Floral Memorial Park. She died Monday in a Selma hospital.
A native of Selma, Mrs. Greer had worked for Norbest Turkey for 14 years until retiring in 1967. She had lived in Kentucky as a young girl and married James Greer in 1930. They returned to Selma in 1941.
Mrs. Greer is survived by her husband; two daughters, Mrs. Betty Abston of Fresno and Mrs. Rita Leath of Indianapolis, Ind.; four sons, Robert, Ray and Raymond Greer of Modesto and David Greer of Selma; four sisters, Mrs. Maude Crouch of Morro Bay, Mrs. Mary Terry of Caruthers, Mrs. Georgia Watkins of Kingsburg and a twin sister in Hamilton, Ohio; a brother, Grant Murray of Fresno; and 14 grandchildren.
