Mrs. Marsha Campbell Tucker Jones, 79, passed away with her family by her side on Wednesday, January 26, 2022 at CaroMont Regional Medical Center. She was born December 27, 1942, in Asheboro, NC, a daughter of the late Harmon "Tommy" Campbell Tucker and Phyllis Fisher Tucker.
Marsha was a registered nurse and worked at Gaston Memorial Hospital. She also operated a gift shop called Pineapples and Uniques. She was a longtime member of First Presbyterian Church. Marsha's main priority was family, she was a perpetual caregiver to her sister, mother, children and others. The more the merrier, for family vacations and get togethers. She lived everyday to the fullest, through wit and wisdom, Marsha drew people to her and made them all feel special. Her grandchildren called her Nana, and she was a super fun grandmother who invested herself with them. She was an encourager to everyone, did not give up on others, and lived by the Golden Rule. She will be dearly missed.
Survivors of Marsha who cherish her memory include her loving husband of 55 years, James "Jim" Henry Jones, II; sons and daughters-in-law, James, III and Kelly Massey Jones of McAdenville; Bryan and Amanda Jones of South Bend, IN; her nieces and nephews, whom she considered as daughters and son, Ginny Warriner (Frank), Cheryl Davis (Jason), and Brad Teal; beloved grandchildren, Jackson Jones, Campbell Jones; Matthew Braswell, Charlotte Jones, Christian Jones, Michael Braswell, and Cooper Jones; many dear friends and extended family.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Phyllis Ann Teal.
A service to celebrate her life will be held 2:00pm, Sunday, January 30, 2022 in the sanctuary of First Presbyterian Church of Gastonia with Revs. Lauren Vanacore and Dan Commerford officiating.
