Mr. Bruce Wilson, age 67, of Dalton, Georgia, departed this life Monday, January 24, 2022 at the Hamilton Medical Center. He was born June 6, 1954 in Dalton, GA, a son of the late DF Woodrow and Irene McKeehan Wilson. He was also preceded in death by his brothers, Felton Wilson, Henry Clay Wilson, Verlon Wilson, Lloyd Wilson, Ronnie Wilson, sisters, Ora Mae King, Mary Lou Farmer, Verla Grooms.
He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Darleen Wilson of the residence; sons and daughters-in-law, Raymond Wilson and Tonia Nix of Dalton, GA, Charles and Jessica Wilson of Ft. Ogelthorpe, GA; brother and sister-in-law, Woodrow and Debbie Wilson of Dalton, GA; sister, Martha Ann Gowin of Dalton, GA; brother-in-law, Jack Grooms of Dalton, GA; sisters-in-law, Charlotte Tankersley of Dalton, GA, Charleen and Benson Bledsoe of Chatsworth, GA, Sharon and Larry Hankins, Janie Wilson of Dalton, GA; grandchildren, Eli Wilson, Colton Wilson; several nieces and nephews.
Service to celebrate the life of Mr. Bruce Wilson will be held Saturday January 29, 2022 at 3:00 p.m. from the Ponders Melrose Chapel with Pastor Dennis Ray officiating. Interment will follow in the Ponders Colonial Hills Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 10:00 a.m. until 3:00 p.m. on Saturday.
