She was born on March 21, 1936 in Derby.
Nancy graduated from Derby High. She and her late husband Richard enjoyed boating and camping around CT with their camper and vacationing in Maine while visiting family and friends. She loved the outdoors, gardening, and taking care of her home which she resided for the past 48 years. She worked as a machinist her whole life and retired from her work at The Lighting Quotient in West Haven after 30 years at the young age of 81.
After retirement she enjoyed doing puzzles and being with her family and friends. She will be deeply missed by her family.
Nancy leaves behind her three sons; grandso; a great granddaughter and one more on the way.
She was predeceased by her son, Roger Bates; and her siblings.
