Obituary for Jimmy Dean Kirkes
Jimmy Dean Kirkes, age 75 of Talihina, Oklahoma passed away from this life on January 26th, 2022. Jimmy was born on April 13th, 1946 in Sanger, California to Evelyn Pearl (Winton) and Greeley Kirkes. He graduated from Buffalo Valley School in 1965. Jimmy served his country in the U.S. Army reserves. He was a man that loved to have fun, whether it was hunting, fishing, or just spending time with his family, Jimmy was having fun. He married Diane Young on September 4th, 1965 in Yanush, Oklahoma and 26 years later, Diane passed away on March 28th, 1991. Jimmy served as a deacon at the Cupco Freewill Baptist Church as well as a faithful member for many years. Jimmy married Gayla (Turner) in December of 1991. Jimmy will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

Jimmy is survived by his wife, Gayla of the home; daughter, Angie Kirkes of Buffalo Valley, OK; son, Darin Kirkes and wife Jamie of Valliant, OK; brothers, Delbert Baker and wife Cynthia of OKC, OK, and Darrell and Freda of Daisy, OK; sister, Judy Hamilton; sister in laws, Jan Baker, Anita Turner, Denise Rose and husband Kenneth; brother in laws, Gerald King and Don King and wife Pam; two grandchildren, Lauren Box and Trevor Kirkes; one great grandson, Baylor Box, as well as numerous extended family and friends.

Jimmy is preceded in passing by his first wife, Diane; parents, Evelyn and Marvin Baker; father, Greeley Kirkes; brothers, Gary Baker and Glen Kirkes.

Pallbearers will be Jason Baker, Kyle Baker, Brent Rose, Blake Rose, Kenneth Rose, and Brian Louderback.
Honorary Pallbearers are Jerry Vaughn, Randy Leathers, Jimmy Kirkes, and Chester Hamilton

Visitation will be on Friday, January 28th, 2022 from 5:00PM to 8:00PM at McCarn Funeral Service in Talihina, Oklahoma.

Graveside services will be on Saturday, January 29th, 2022 at 2:00PM at Cupco Cemetery in Yanush, Oklahoma. Services have been entrusted to McCarn Funeral Service of Talihina, Oklahoma.
