Victor H. Shaw, 85, of Iselin died on Friday, January 7, 2022 at the JFK Medical Center in Edison.
Born in Staten Island, NY, he moved to Iselin in 1959. He proudly served in the US Army during the Korean War. He was a parishioner of St. Cecelia RC Church in Iselin & a 3rd Degree Knight of Columbus & life member. He worked as an instrument mechanic for 32 years at DuPont in Linden. Victor loved to swim, travel & spend time with his family. He was very active in the Woodbridge Township Recreation & volunteered at the Woodbridge Community Center with the swim club & the cancer survivor group.
He is predeceased by his parents, Victor & Anna Shaw; & two brothers-in-law, Leo Scaduto & Nicholas Turnese.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 64 years, Marilyn (neeCavagnaro) Shaw; 5 children, Ken Shaw & Susanne of Ringoes, Susan Skrobacz & her husband Edwin of Brandon, FL, Kevin Shaw & Sandra Shaw both of Iselin, & Karyn Shaw of Middlesex Borough; 10 grandchildren, Megan, Tyler, Ryan, Victoria, Marissa, Christian, Mario, Lauren, Antonio, & Adrianna; 3 siblings, Dolores Scaduto of Monroe Twp., Chris Shaw & his wife Jane of Staten Island, NY, & Lois Turnese of Palm City, FL; several nieces & nephews; & 4 grandpups & 4 grandcats.
The funeral will take place on Monday, January 10, 2022 at 9:30 am from the Costello-Runyon Funeral Home, 1225 Green St. & Cooper Ave, Iselin followed by a 10 am Funeral Mass at St. Cecelia RC Church in Iselin. Entombment will be in St. Gertrude Cemetery in Colonia.
