Mr. Brady James Anthony was the eighth child born to the parentage of the late Piney and Valzola 'Bell' Morris Anthony in Rusk County, Texas on June 28, 1939. He attended the public schools in the community of his birth and gave his life to the Lord in the year of 2008. In November 0f 2010, Brady joined Mt. Calvary Baptist Church and was a faithful member until his death.
Brady James Anthony married Ilsa Tatum early in life. Later he united in matrimony to Ella Coleman, which together they raised two stepsons and he adopted her two sons. One preceded him in death. Brady was always a provider for his family. He was employed throughout the years for Henderson Clay Products, Johnson Lumber and retired from Sabine Mining.
On May8, 2015 Mr. Brady James Anthony departed this life leaving to cherish his memories: a loving and devoted wife, Ella Anthony of Longview, Texas; sons, Kenneth (Karen) Woods of New Albany, Indiana; Pastor Kevin Anthony of Longview, Texas and Anthony M. Anthony (Anya Aiken) of Dallas, Texas; sister, Myrtle Oliver of Henderson, Texas and brother, Johnny (Meryl) Anthony of Henderson, Texas; 13 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren; many nieces, nephews other relatives and friends.
Public viewing for Mr. Anthony will be Thursday, May 14, 2015 from 1-7 p.m. and the family will receive friends from 7-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
Public viewing will also be on Friday, May 15, 2015 from 11:30 a.m. until service time at the church.
