Jeffery was born May 9, 1957, in Newark, Ohio .The son of the late Donald W. and Ila Jean (Allen) Mason. He was a graduate of Lakewood High (Hebron,Ohio) School Class of 1975. Jeff worked in the pipeline construction industry in Odessa, Texas where he was project coordinator for Miller Pipeline. He also drove a truck while living in Ohio, for various companies such as Velvet Ice Cream. He was very proud of his driving record having recorded over two million miles accident free.

He was a long-time member of both the Hebron Christian Church, Disciples of Christ in Hebron, OH & Bethany Christian Church in Odessa,TX

He was an avid OSU and Cleveland Browns football fan.

He is survived by his loving family: his wife, the former Deborah Rieder, whom he married on February 6, 1982, son Matt and his wife Stacy, grandchildren Jacob and Kelsy ; his siblings: Don (Jan), Den, Tim (Patsy), Chris, Clifford (Rose), his little sister Connie Jean, and sister-in-law Patty; many nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother Terry and sister-in-law Ginny.
