Bennie Ray Henderson, 71, of Ponca City, OK, left this life on December 12, 2021. A Celebration of Life Ceremony will be held at a later date. Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Trout Funeral Home & Crematory, 505 W. Grand Ave, Ponca City, OK 74601.

Bennie was born on December 2, 1950, in Ponca City, to Elton Clinton and Millie Estelle (Dougherty) Henderson. Bennie graduated from Ponca City High School in 1969. He joined the Army, where he proudly served 2 tours in Vietnam from 1971-1976. He married Sandra Louise McKay on October 9, 1973, in Ponca City. Bennie retired after 48 years as a traveling union pipefitter.

Bennie loved to fish and hunt. He was a member of the Local Union 344, National Association BTJ Pipefitter and the American Boargoat Association.

Bennie is survived by his daughter, Kaycee L. Henderson, of Ponca City; step-grandchildren, Sarah and Jake Streeter, of Pittsburg, KS; sisters, Karen Sue Sallee and her husband, Johnnie, of Pawnee, OK, Linda Kay Burgen, of Seneca, MO, Joyce Marie Spoonemore, of Joplin, MO, Cindy Lou Henderson-Clark, of Ponca City; sister-in-law, Barbara Henderson, of Versailles, MO, brother-in-law, David Sherrill, of Ponca City, and many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews, family members and friends.

He is preceded in death by his wife, Sandra; his parents, Elton and Millie Henderson; brother, Larry Henderson; sister, Patsy Henderson Sherrill and step-daughter, Kristen McKay Steeter.
