Elizabeth "Liz" Ann Wallen Reed, widow of Bill Reed, passed away Sunday Jan. 23 2022, at Baptist Health. She was born Dec. 14, 1957, in Garrett, KY to their late Russell and Lexie Wallen and was a graduate of Allen Central in Floyd County. Liz was an active member of Lexington United Baptist Church and enjoyed being around family and friends. She was also active in Quilts of Valor and enjoyed any other craft projects she and her sister could find to do as well as gardening. She was employed by Robinson Hardware for 29 years until they went out of business, then worked for Eastland True Value until her retirement. She was preceded in death by step mother Nova Wallen and 2 brothers Paul and Arnold Wallen. She leaves to mourn her passing sons Will Reed, wife Gina, Cory, wife Teresa, grandchildren Kaleigh Rhorer, Autumn Harrison ,Jayden Reed, Kyle Reed, Nevaeh Reed, and Cody Reed, a brother Roger Wallen, wife Loraine, a sister Peggy Rowe, husband Tony, very special friend Judy Leasor, and a host of nieces and nephews. Liz never met a stranger. Her Remembrance Service will be held 11:00 AM on Wednesday Feb 2, at Lexington United Baptist Church, 9477 Rockwell Rd., Lexington, Ky 40505, following which she will be laid to rest in Bluegrass Memorial Gardens. Her family will greet friends and family at the church on Tuesday Feb 1,from 4 to 7 PM. The family asks donations to be made in her memory to Lexington United Baptist Church to assist with funeral expenses. "If there ever comes a time we can't be together, keep me in your heart and I will be there forever".
