Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 p.m. Monday, January 31, at Steed Todd Funeral Chapel for Jerry Wayne Martin of Texico, New Mexico.

Mr. Martin died January 22, 2022 at his home.

Cremation will follow the services under the direction of Steed Todd Funeral Home.

Visitation will be at Steed Todd Chapel Monday beginning at 10:00 a.m.

Jerry was born in Pryor , Oklahoma October 23, 1949, the son of Delbert and Eva (Gwartney) Martin. He attended school in Texico and left his senior year in 1967 to join US Army. He was a part of the 173rd Airborne division and was a radioman and switchboard operator. He served 3 tours in Vietnam Conflict.

In addition to his parents Jerry was predeceased by his sister Carolyn (Sudie) and his brother Larry.

Jerry is survived by his wife Elizabeth (Holmes); daughter Faye Merchant and her husband Jack; son Jerry (Jay) and daughter Crystal Martin; sisters Velmalee Lovvorn her husband M.D. and Faye and Terry both from Farwell,Tx; 4 grandchildren Cordale and Yesonia his wife, Sammantha ,Skylar and Ailani; 3 great-grandsons Gage ,Albert and Manuel.
