Mary Carolyn Fields, 84, died Sunday, January 23, 2022. She was born January 1, 1938 in Bardwell, KY, daughter of Joseph Harold and Alma Hayden.
Carolyn was a member of the Ursuline Order of Nuns, Mt. St. Joseph in Owensboro, KY, a retired Jefferson County Public School teacher and active in the Stephen Ministries at St. Bernard Catholic Church. She enjoyed hiking and was an active member of a hiking club.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Phillip Fields; and siblings, Betty Wilson, Shirley Denton, Keith Hayden, and Deborah Faye Hayden.
She is survived by her siblings, Bill Hayden (Margaret), Ken Hayden (Judy), Rita Darnell (Howard), Don Hayden (Louise), David Hayden (Pat), Steve Hayden and Rose Brandenburg.
Her funeral is 12pm Monday, January 31, 2022 at St. Bernard Catholic Church, 7501 Tangelo Dr., Louisville, KY 40228 with burial in Highland Memory Gardens, Mt. Washington, KY. Visitation is 12-4pm Sunday at Fern Creek Funeral Home, 5406 Bardstown Road.
