Susan J. Fox, 82, of Findlay died at 3:39 p.m. on Saturday, January 22, 2022 at the Bridge Hospice Care Center surrounded by her loving family. Susan was born on April 2, 1939 in Mansfield, Ohio to William D. and Helen R. (Robinson) Gibson. She attended and graduated from Lexington High School in 1957.
She married Thomas L. Fox on April 19, 1958, at St. Peter's Church, in Mansfield, Ohio. They lived briefly in Findlay after marriage, before moving to Fremont, where they began their family. They returned to Findlay, then transferred briefly to Shelby, Ohio before returning to Findlay, Ohio where they resided for many years.

They were blessed with 6 children. Tim (Lu) of Lancaster, Ohio; Laurie (Scott) Smith of Canal Winchester, Ohio; Julie (Becky) of Piketon, Ohio; John (Lisa) of Marysville, Ohio; Jim (Tonya) of Findlay, Ohio; Tom (Stephanie) of Burke, VA; grandchildren: Brad (Keeley) Smith; Chad (Dani) Smith ; Jason (Sarah) Fox; Sally (Ehmano) Orso; Noah (Elina), Enoch, Levi, Bethany, Josiah, Jacob, Michael (Molly) Matthew, Makenna, Laura, Jack, Ella, Charlie, and Griffin Fox; great grandchildren: Macey and Jansen Smith; Logan and Maddie Fox; Mason Orso, Roscoe James and Thomas Dewitt (Dewey) Fox. Also surviving are bothers-in-law, Richard and Carl Fox; sisters-in law Mary Fox, Ruth Fox and Carole Fox as well as many dear nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband Tom, her sister Sally Pettit, brother-in-law Maurice Pettit and her parents. There were Fox brothers and sisters-in-law who welcomed Susan, as a teenager into their big, loving family, who have also passed.

Susan and Tom were so very grateful for their family, each of whom was greatly loved, treasured as gifts from God.
Susan also did child care in their home for many years, as their children were growing. She and Tom loved those children as well.

Susan cherished her family, her faith community of St. Michael the Archangel, Findlay, as well as the early years at Fremont Sacred Heart. some years back. She and husband Tom were also active in Ecumenism with some other area churches in Findlay, making wonderful friendships.

They were involved with the Christian Clearing House for many years, from its beginning. Susan had the opportunity to sing with St. Michael Adult Choir for several years, early on, before illness in her family, and then illness herself, changed some plans. Music was important to her all her life. She hopes everyone can keep a song in their heart, a smile on their face, and love for God and for one another always. She believed in Faith, Family and Friends.

The family wants to thank the many amazing, thoughtful, caring doctors who have taken such good care of her, and husband Tom, over the years of health concerns. Thanks to so many who kept her in prayers over the years. She felt humbled and grateful.

In lieu of flowers, those wishing to do so, could contribute to Cancer Patient Services, Christian Clearing House, City Mission, Bridge Hospice, St. Michael the Archangel Parish, or any charity that would help better someone's life.

Visitation for family and Friends will be held from 4-7PM Friday, January 28, 2022 at Kirkpatrick-Behnke Funeral Home and from 12-1PM on Saturday, January 29, 2022 at St Michael the Archangel Catholic Church, 750 Bright Road, Findlay.
